How to find basic functions of the software

Hi,
I’m a very new user of Shapr3D. I’m 78 and have had computers since 1987. Yes, that’s before the Internet. I can build mobile responsive websites, I’ve worked with Photoshop and Illustrator since somewhere around 2006 or 2007.

I got into lasers and then 3D printing five or six years ago so I’m not really a novice there.

I found Shapr3D from a video about creating UV resin hat pins and thought that the software would be a great help.

So, I grabbed the 14 day trial and I’m still trying to figure out how to create folders for different projects. You know, all the really basic stuff that should be really easy to find. I’m pulling my hair out.

I think for the Pro price there would be tutorials available for new users to get up to speed quickly. If there is I can’t locate any. I’m tired of going from tutorial to tutorial on Youtube trying to find what I’m looking for.

Is there anyone in any of the forums that can point me in the right direction.

I’m a two tour VietNam Veteran with PTSD and I don’t deal well with a lot of things. I go out of my way to help others when I can help. And, I’m proud of my service in VietNam.

Hi Ernie,
Welcome to the forum. It would help if you tell us what platform you are on like the iPad, Mac or Windows as there are differences in workflows. And, thank you for your service!

Suggest you start with the topic of Sketching.

When you get stuck, there are lots of people here on the forum who will help.

I know most people don’t like to read, but in my humble opinion, the first thing that needs to be done is to read the manual — which is available here: https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/11017077131036.

And yes, when you have specific questions, just ask them here — usually someone shows up who’s willing to help figure things out.

Thank you everyone for the replies. I’m on Windows 10.

I will check out the two links that were shared and if I have any questions I will come back and ask.
