How to smooth puppy Edges

I am new to Shapr3d, Need advise for next step.

I need to make puppy more looks like a rounded charater for 3d printer. i tried fillet tool but that tool not helped much.
I used line tool to trace the image and then extruded the body from sketch, after that i mirror the body for other side.

Typically people who use Shapr and Shapr like tools do not use CAD features to make 3d characters.

Even tho that dog looks mechanical picture shows elegant curves that is hard to duplicate.

I feel like if you wanted to reproduce this more accurately, it wouldn’t be too difficult. I would build the components separately and start with the body. The neck and head and angle to the angle to the nose seem like they could be a challenge but, look at it in basic shape terms, it’s not tooo complex.

Another obstacle is the angled faces, like the front legs. There’s a few ways to do this, you could break it into sections and loft it, or get its shape and select the top or bottom face and rotate using the move tool it for a twisting effect. Are just some ways.

Another thing I see in your design is all the points from the splines, try having less of those and more continues sketch lines. Think, 3 point arc and 5 point arc. But some designs require, hundreds, this one is not that. The least amount of spline points you need is the optimal amount, even if it’s just 2 points.

You have a lot of line segments. Can you sketch using the “spline tool”? A smooth spline would help.

The head looks like an ovoid shape and 2 cones. one for the mouth and one for the nose.

Look for common shapes to help flesh it out. Refine from there.

Look at the Tutorial videos for the motorcycle gas tank creation. Something like that might get you much closer to what you’re trying to do. (And yeah, splines are probably a good friend here, too…

If you know the raw basics already, start with this one and then go through it and then the next four videos: https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/13079183578524-Revolve-Subtract-and-Mirror
