I have to to design some kind of bluetooth-speaker, but it should be round like an egg. The inside have to carry a board, speakers, connectors, touch buttons and so on. So the inside is a typical Shapr3d Task (i think), but due to the spherical formfactor, it is a huge challange to me at the moment.
So, how would you proceed? Any comment or strategy hint is welcome!!
Hello,
What I would do first is measure all the components you’re going to insert into the egg so you can decide on the diameter, height, and thickness of the egg. From there, make a diagram of each element’s position inside the egg. All that’s left is to add the supports for each element in its final position.

I‘d recommend using the revolve tool, like this:
Hey, do you need something like this. I made the egg-shaped shell using revolve tool on a semi-ellipse, revolved it about its major axis, followed by split command along a plane and then shell command. The other shape was made using intersect command for two ellipses extruded in perpendicular planes, split the body along a plane, use fillet to smooth out the edges and then use shell command for required wall thickness. Usually, the second approach gives you much better control of dimensions to package your internal components.
Hi, yes!! This is the direction to go i think …
