I need help modeling a violin

Hello, I have been trying to solve this problem for an hour. I am trying to create the back plate of the violin using the Loft tool. However, the Loft tool is not working as I expected. Could you please help me figure out how to resolve this? Please check the attached video and files.

An option, is to reverse your loft profiles and use loft to cut away at a block in the negative. ie. Extrude the guideline shape so you end up with a violin shaped block, then for the loft, make the profiles opposite so they would cut away (instead of closed going up, close them going down. Loft then subtract.

I was playing around with your file, and it seems at the cut away where those sharp angles are the loft tries to double back on it self which collides the shape and invalidates the body.
Also, the long line at the center line running parallel to the end lofts is causing problems

@APDesignMachine method about creating a negative is a good strategy. Alternatively you could loft the body and try the intersect tool.

I come from a machining background so subtractive manufacturing is my default haha.
