The problem that this feature will solve:
The repetitive task of entering variables could be speeded up by saving frequently used variables (e.g. metric thread catalogue, M10: d=10; P=1.5; H= sqrt3 / 2 * P; …) in external files. Also, different sets of parameters (e.g. a secondary set for M12: d=12; P=2; …) should be easily interswitchable.
Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:
This feature should simplify my process of effortless production of norm parts (screws, nuts, etc.) for the constructions I’m designing with Shapr3D. Also, the UI of variables and variable management could be a little more intuitive or let’s say more elegant?
What can’t you achieve without this feature?
The creation of norm parts is rather tedious because of the rather fiddly way of entering, storing, accessing, managing variables/parameters.
All in all, Shapr3D is a great tool and the potential is immense. So thank you for keeping up the good work, cheers.
