The problem that this feature will solve:

I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t rename each sketch during modeling. This can make toggling visibilities on the fly tedious. Shapr3D already has the feature of automatically highlighting elements on simple mouse-over in orange. I would find it very helpful if that also indicated which item the element belongs to in the items list.

This would allow us to see which item we want to hide at a quick glance.

What can’t you achieve without this feature?

In its current implementation, this requires us to select the sketch we want to hide to see which item it is, hide it, and reelect the item we were actually working on. There is of course also right-click menu on mouse-over to hide it, but then we still don’t know which item that element actually belonged to, which can make toggling visibility on again a guessing game.

This might be a nit-picky feature request, I’d love to hear from other users what you think of it.

Just in case, do you know that you can click on an element and select “Reveal in Items Sidebar”?

Yes, I do. That’s basically what I would like to see, just without even prompting Shapr to do so.

My mockup is a bit garish, I’m sure that could be done a little more elegantly so the items highlighting on mouse-overs aren’t too distracting.
