iPad OS Introduction Not Working

I am trying our Shapr3D on iPad OS and while going through the introduction tutorial of building a desk organizer I hit a place that doesn’t work as the video shows. When I get to the part where we are extruding the middle piece the sketch doesn’t go away like the video shows. Not sure what I am doing wrong… I followed it to a T. See image.

Anyone else have this issue?

Haven’t done the tutorials, but if it extruded correctly you can always manually hide the sketch in the items panel. Don’t know why it didn’t do it automatically.

I see where I can do that in the Items panel but there was no mention of it in the video so I thought it just hid automatically.

It usually does on extruding a sketch. Unless maybe your sketch is still somehow selected after the extrusion, then you can see it despite it being hidden in the items list.

If it’s a bug, I wouldn’t exactly call it a major one. For me the auto-hiding of extruded sketches is something I’m a bit torn on. Often enough it’s convenient, sometimes I just have to go toggle it to visible again because there’s more than just a simple extrusion I want to do with that sketch.

Overall, toggling of visibilities is just something you’ll have to do a lot, it’s part of the process.

That’s fair. I can see that the other slice of that sketch was automatically hidden so hiding it gets me to where the video was. Thank you for the help!

If you have a sketch with more than one profile and you don’t extrude all profiles, the sketch will not auto-hide.

Still learning that. The Sketch was divided into 2 by another component and when I extruded the small one down it had the effect that the video showed. The only difference was the other side of the Sketch hid quickly in the video. I manually hid it and everything turned out well.
