I currently have had Shapr3d running on a Windows desktop and I use it there mostly just because I am also usually watching video’s and working between fusion and shapr (because I design in shapr and will add dimensional threads in fusion, That said I first starting using it on my Ipad and the interface is great for that, honestly better than windows. That said I really enjoy the cross platform license. My question is probably a little out there and limited to probably the fewest % of users possible but I also have an older Imac. It used to run Shapr3d on a version of Mac OS that was running through the OpenCore Legacy patcher because the Mac is so old that Apple won’t allow it to update. What I should have done is not updated but I messed up and did that. If I could remember the version I would roll back to that (or reinstall and incrementally update to that version and leave it there. I am unsure what version it was that it ran on but maybe about 8 or 9 months ago there was a patcher update and Shapr3d stopped working. It’s not a huge deal, really just an annoyance and I do actually still use it on the side when I happen to be gaming and want the control of keyboard and mouse (because my eyes are not as good as they once were and I like the larger Imac screen vs the ipad. Everything else seems to work on it but just for some reason Shapr3d gives me an error that I can’t make heads or tails off because the error report is 20+ pages long and I am a software user, not a developer, lol. Is it more an issue with the CPU of the older imac now? Is shapr3d for mac only able to run on apple silicone now? Also is anyone else in this situation currently using Shapr3d on a Mac running open core legacy patcher and if so what version are you using to allow it to continue functioning? I know its not a simple question and probably no real answer. Just glad it’s not an issue related to windows but also this has given me a little concern because my Ipad is one of the OG ipad Pro’s and now I am worried if Shapr3d will stop working on it in the near future and the longer I can go without buying another Ipad the better off I’ll be. Thanks for any tips or consideration!
