I just updated to the new version, still no folders…
Thank you SO MUCH @Istvan for the picture! Honestly now I don’t care if it doesn’t come out for weeks*, just seeing tangible proof that the feature exists and is being executed is wonderful.
*but still, this week would be lovely
Thanks for the update @Istvan,
Can we get confirmation that the iPad version will also receive the update later this week?
Yes, we always keep all the platforms on feature parity.
Thanks again.
I know you guys try to keep feature parity across all platforms, but I’m also aware that the timelines aren’t always the same for all features…
Take ‘naming the project within design mode from the top toolbar’ as an example.
I may be wrong, as I don’t really use any other version, but as far as I understand it this is one feature that’s available in windows but still to be deployed to the iPad?
Shipping that separately was an exception, and it won’t happen again. Also it will be shipped very soon to the iPad as well.
Cheers @Istvan,
I’m not saying it’s a huge problem BTW, I think most folk can understand that sometimes there may be exceptions due to unforeseen circumstances.
It’s just nice to get clarity and good that you can manage our expectations.
As always, your presence on these forums and your honest responses are much appreciated
We like to build great products, and great products should never cause confusion.
Thank you, that’s very kind of you.
It’s coming later this week
Hey @Istvan, just checking in. Can you please give an updated, conservative and realistic quote that we can depend on?
It’s honestly okay if it takes another few weeks or doesn’t even come out in 2023. Ofc it’d be nice to have it sooner, but it’s WAY nicer to have a long-ways-away thing arrive unexpectedly soon, than a just-around-the-corner thing be repeatedly delayed.
Again, the screenshot and video are amazing, it’s good to know it’s truly in progress.
Hi Curiobot,
It was released few days ago.
Oh hooray! My app didn’t auto-update, I just got it today.
It’s been a long time coming, so glad to see these here thanks so much @Istvan!
Wow, I had completely given up hope this would ever be implemented. Now if I can just figure out how to get stuff back -out- of a folder that I’ve dropped it into by mistake…
Using the folder tree on the left.
Thanks. Doesn’t work on iPad, though…selecting the object and having the foldertree visible appear to be mutually exclusive.
