After working on a project for a While it usually gets like this, messy, so when I want to extrude a new shape I need to select loads of small jigsaw shapes. Seems like not the right way. How to improve the process? Am I doing something wrong.
I’ve learned to have as little as possible on a sketch before moving to another one. It avoids piling everything onto one sketch and then running into problems.
I agree with @Stephen. Sketch less…extrude more.

Not sure what lines you need there but it appears to be a job for the trim tool.

The thing is, this is a working design sketch pad. I’m developing the design as I work, sometimes changing things, so I have found that if I trim or delete all the unneeded lines and circles, inevitably I seem to need them later as I iterate the design.
I really need to try to use the construction line more. But still - trimming to have a neat plan sketch it not the answer when the design is still evolving.
