i really adore this program, its so efficient and feels like apple made it.. nice work. i really appreciate there being a free tier, i am having a brilliant time not being pressured by a monthly payment while i learn the program, i can relax and tinker and take my time.
your paid boundaries are quite clever in the visualization and limited export filetypes. if i were to develop this app i would probably set up the same limitations so i can understand and sympathise with you here. although i have some gripes, i’ll only wanna talk about one today.
visualization
the visualization button shows the upgrade prompt every single time you click it, and when leaving visualization you also have to click remove materials. it ends up being a lot of unnecessary prompts for something that still works on the free plan..
i think the warning should be shown initially once on a new app install, not every time you click the button. i also think forcing to ‘remove materials’ is unnecessary to have happen each time i leave the mode.. its a bit annoying; i have gotten really fast at re-dragging and configuring materials to an object every time i switch back and forth to modeling mode.
maybe the warning(s) should only show when i go to close the program or something.. i understand you want to make it annoying so people will pay for the higher tier but its current state is a bit too much.. lol. you could even put it in the export menu or something, but im not sure if the visualization is just for funsies or if it keeps the colors and normal maps on export or whatever.
you chose to allow visualization on the free plan. i understood the message the first two times i saw it, so id either consider revising when this warning appears or just remove visualization entirely from the free plan..
other than that, i am really glad i gave this program a second try. its really great, thanks!!
