Looking for Help: Creating a Complete Land Rover Defender Model in Shapr3D

Will you be wanting to make the engine and transmission and other underbonnet mechanicals? If so, I’d be happy to tackle them.

If you have drawings of those parts or can point me to them, I will start working. Once I know the general dimensions, I can try get hold of reference photos to help with it.

Sounds fun! I’m still in the phase of getting the chassis sorted out first—see my earlier post. Of course, I’d love your help with everything under the hood, especially since I’ll need new engine mounts.

Basics with details done, adjusted chart to reality. Now to laser measurements before making part more harmonically fit togheter. I figure this is the most critical segment as all other parts relates to this.

This thread should probably be moved to Share Your Creations…

As far as I can handle it solely in Shapr, I am finished with the body, one small adjustment remains on the rear wheelhouse connecting to the body. This was not an easy task, as I wanted to be true to the original within ±10mm. Some needed compromises indeed had to kill that goal. The frame were easier, within less. Tires and bumpers are just placeholders. The bodywork should be 3 and 90mm, but this did not work out (shelling) , had to go for 25mm, which is aimed at a printable version >1:24. Endless trials and errors. Some work left to do, as 3-90mm. Now for the interior, engine and transmission…

It will look much better when all eyecandy (visual decoys) are in place
