Merging History does not appear to work correctly in Isolation mode. I wish to merge and delete sketches via the “Merge Now” button. In Isolation mode, the body associated with the sketch also gets deleted. To make it work correctly, I had to get out of Isolation mode, then do the History merge. Is this a bug?
As of January 2025, the same problem still seems to exist.
After merging the histories in isolation mode, if you export a file in Shapr3D format with the hidden bodies lost, and then import the file again, the bodies are restored, so it appears that the bodies are present internally, which may be a presentation problem.
(However, in some cases, when exporting and importing, the folder structure is lost and all bodies are lined up directly under the root.)
Is there any follow-up to this?
I agree that this is still a problem.
One easy fix is to not allow History Merging while in Isolation Mode.
Disabling history merging in isolation mode is a good enough workaround for me as well (it would help other users if a dialog could be prompted to exit isolation mode to enable merging).
