Multiple origins should be permitted within the same workspace

I frequently have several variants of a similar model within the same workspace.

Moving a model off the origin makes manipulation less convenient because the origin for that model is no longer 0,0,0.

You should be able to assign a local origin for each variant.

There is technically no origin in Shapr3D. Even through you may have models at the axis guide lines, they are not at any fixed point. All points are relative.

While interesting, this comment doesn’t address my concern. I want to be able to mark locations as local origins for ease of calculation (eg offsets, mirroring etc.).

While local coordinate systems cannot be defined, you can always place construction axes or planes from the Add menu. Regular sketch lines can also be used for mirroring or guiding the transform tools, let me know if a short video would help
