I created a complicated object prior to the new History feature upgrade.
The History feature upgrade happened and afterward I duplicated my file for the purpose of modifying it to create a new version.
Typically when I draw I make sketches to create the Primative objects that I subsequently join, subtract etc etc. After I create the Primative I go back and delete to sketches.
I have done this many times both before and after the upgrade. But right now I’m stuck with leaving some sketches in the model because if I delete the sketch, it also deletes the object I created with it. In addition, it leaves an empty sketch with zero items in it that cannot be deleted.
It seems to be related to the history feature.
Please advise.

Simply export the project as an X_T file and reimport as your copy. That will eliminate all history up to that point.
