This feature will help me solve the constant adjustments in the position and size of bodies within designs containing 100’s of bodies. My workflow begins with an origin, but involves mirroring multiple bodies around multiple midplanes. Inevitably, I make multiple changes throughout the design process.
I expect to be able to select a tolerance and origin, and ShapR3D will snap all my bodies to the nearest position, showing me the new gaps in green, and the new overlaps in red, and where edges no longer mate in length in blue.
Without this feature, I am spending hours adjusting multiple bodies because the size or thickness of a drawer or cabinet frame changed, or a piece of hardware changed by thickness or position. I expect to be able to select any origin, and see red highlights of new overlaps in my bodies, green highlights where my bodies no longer align, edges no longer mate, and new blue gaps between my body planes and edges so I’ll know where to make adjustments in my design. You might have to temporarily make everything transparent to see what making a change does to your design.
Without this feature I am spending hours adjusting the position and thickness of dozens of bodies with each change I make in my design.
This slows me down, and makes me looks for alternate solutions that will accomodate designs that inherently have multiple changes along their workflow.
