Recently we’ve noticed, that there has been some issues with importing files to Shapr3D. This is due to an iPadOS 13.2.2 bug.
The problem occurs when you have multiple apps that can open the same file type. We have checked the issue with several file formats and it seems to be a consistent bug. Unfortunately this is a bug on Apple’s side, but we will keep a close eye on the situation, if we can, we will fix it ASAP!
What can you do to circumvent the issue?
-
Use the import functionality from the app - see attached video https://global.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/shapr3d/original/2X/0/0383d5bb338f573a1a1536e2de9b91b11bdaae86.MP4
-
If you Airdrop a file and the Import modal doesn’t show, turn the Bluetooth on/off. Save the file in Files, than open it from the app.
-
Optional: Delete the apps that can import your file type (make sure you have a backup)
These three should solve the issue. If it still persists - let us know in this thread, and we’ll try to come up with a solution.
PLEASE NOTE: Uninstall / install won’t help this bug ( if you chose to do this, make sure to have a backup)
