Recreating Table Design in 3d

Hi… I saw a beautiful table build on Instagram here:

I have pretty much figured out how to design everything. But the legs. They become smaller going down to the floor. They have three sides rounded differently and the inner side has a special cut.

Any help would be much appreciated.

One idea is to ask the manufacturer how he did it.

Most people answer very friendly, in my experience.

Ps: it’s best if you realize your own ideas.

Here you have another book tip for wood connections:

To me it looks like the leg is tapered on the inner two sides. I used 2.5° taper. The outside corner has a nice radius. Can’t see the special cut from the video.

Thanks Andreas. I’m actually using the design to practice Shapr3D  Will have a look and the book. Seems like one of those must-haves for the bookshelf in the woodworking shop. :+1:

I have another option.

There is also the possibility to work with axes and with the subtract tool.

I added a few pictures for this.

I refined it.

Here what the sketch looks like top and bottom you would just need to loft it. If you use constraints it will be easier to shape it correctly and adjust it by eye to compare with the photo by inputing dimensions.

Since I made the legs anyways I thought just finish it. I also liked the brown version.

Thank you guys. I ultimately went with Loft & Extrude the top part. Looks pretty much like it should. Now I’ll have to catch up with @SCALEMODEL . Nice Work!
