I am trying to replace the thread face with a face in a jar lid but I keep getting a face can’t be replaced message. I have attached a screen recording of what I’m doing. I’ve done this same procedure a dozen times successfully. Why won’t this work?
I don’t think those two faces will ever meet in the orientation you have them. What are you trying to accomplish?
Was trying to blend the threads into the lid. I have an attached a picture of a finished project. I replace the face and then chamfer the thread.
I think there was something wrong with the drawing I had all of the trouble with. I’ve noticed sometimes odd things happen in Shapr3D like all of my visible objects will disappear and to get them back I have to close and reopen the program. When they have disappeared I can select them in the Items column and the move icon will show up where the objects were. Clicking on the eye will darken the name like when it is visible but it’s not.
Could be totally unrelated; I found that when items are drawn wrong or is missing, closing and opening project may fail. Inserts a breakpoint early in history and thereafter delete it, all is reprocessed and often comes out fresh and complete. (Rebooting machine and Shapr does not hurt either (IT Crowd).)
