Hi everyone,
I’ve spent quite a bit of time reading the previous tutoring and coaching threads on the forum before posting this. I’ve also reached out privately to several members who had previously offered help, but many seem no longer active, so I thought it made sense to start a new thread.
I’ve also looked outside the forum for Shapr3D specific tutoring, but most of what I’ve found has been focused on Fusion 360. I’ve reached out directly to a number of experienced Shapr3D users as well, but so far I haven’t had much success finding anyone currently offering one to one mentoring.
I’m looking for paid one to one mentoring in Shapr3D.
A little background: I’m completely new to CAD in any form. I’ve been working through the tutorials, YouTube content, and forum discussions, and they’ve all been useful.
I’ve experimented with a few CAD packages, and Shapr3D is the first one that has really clicked with me. The interface feels intuitive, I’ve been able to start creating things much more quickly than I could in Fusion 360, and I’d ideally like to keep Shapr3D as the centre of my CAD workflow going forward. That’s one of the reasons I’m keen to invest the time and effort to learn it properly from the start.
I’ve always found that I learn best by working alongside someone who is genuinely skilled at something. Tutorials and videos are great for understanding the basics, but the biggest leaps in learning have usually come from being able to ask questions, see how an experienced person approaches a problem, and understand why they make certain decisions.
What I’m looking for is someone who would be willing to work through real projects with me and help me build a solid foundation. I’m interested not only in which buttons to press, but also in how experienced users think about modelling, how they approach a design, and how they avoid the mistakes and dead ends that inevitably come with being new to CAD.
My interests are primarily functional design, and 3D printing, although I’m happy to learn from anyone with strong Shapr3D experience.
I’m happy to pay for your time and expertise.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, or if you know someone within the community who offers this kind of mentoring, I’d be very grateful to hear from you.
Many thanks.
