Shapr3d get stuck when trying to extrude with panel structure

I am trying to extrude with a panel structure, when I use selection tool then faces option in the selection, then when I do the extrude the program get stuck and I have close it and open again.

Hi and welcome to Shapr3d!

Well, on first look, you have 13127 faces selected which you try to extrude at the same time. This is just too much for your computer / iPad to handle. It looks like you‘re using iPad which doen‘t have the Computing capability of a computer. I‘d recommend trying it on the computer, and trying to extrude only a few face at the time.

Good Luck!

Yes, I try it on my macbook with m1 pro and the same happend.

Does this needs more capability than that ?

Probably. What kind of faces are they? Simple planar or something more complicated?

This is it, it have many holes with dymond form.

Oh well. This explains it. Meshes or big patterns like this are very hard to compute, or at least he way Shapr3d does it. You‘d have to extrude them in let’s say groups of five. It will be tedious, but it’s not impossible.

Hope I could help!

Yes, that’s the thing is really hard to do it manually, but I selected 736 faces manually to do the extrude, but still the same, looks like I will have to upgrade hardware.

Thanks very much for the feedback.

Now it finally finished, it took a while, but confirmed, its looks like to be with the performance of the hardware.

That’s great, at least it worked. Also, if you can simplify your sketch and faces somehow, that‘d help too. If consider this issue solve, you should put the „solved“ tick somewhere, so the Shapr3d staff and other people know tidiest need any help.

Yes like what Mark said Shapr is using some kind of different math to make the mesh.

You could also use a mesh tool like Blender, because that tool it’s easier on the computer to do large repeating pattern.
