Shapr3D won't start

Shapr3D won’t start. It worked fine the last time I used it a few days ago, and I have used it for years without this problem occurring. Now, without me making any changes to Shapr3D or my Windows 11 (Home) computer, if I attempt to start Shapr3D, it sticks on the “Powered by Siemens Parasolid” splash screen. Instead of that screen showing for the usual two seconds or so, it displays much longer (several seconds, up to 30 seconds or so) before the program crashes and the desktop reappears. I repeatedly rebooted my computer and tried again with the same Shapr3D failure. All other programs work fine.

Neither the CPU and GPU have changed; Shapr3D worked A-OK with them for years until it suddenly refused to start.

If reinstallation is the fix:

(1) Must I first uninstall Shapr3D?

(2) Will uninstalling and reinstalling (or simply reinstalling, if uninstalling is not necessary) Shapr3D potentially delete any of my CAD files?

I suspect the crashes result from a recent Shapr3D update. Is there a way to turn them off? A way to roll back to a prior version?

So many Shapr3D “updates” are a giant step backward; one example is the recent change from white as the sketch drawing color to blue or orange, with the latter two having horrible contrast against the black background. Another example: I preferred the prior version of the calculator. As far as I know, Shapr3D does not give users the ability to customize many aspects of the program whereas it is common practice for most computer programs to give users extensive options so they can optimize the user experience for what they want, not what is imposed on them.
