Sketch Copy

I’m trying or want to copy a spline sketch, and then turn it off and on
to compare my changes?

I see how to copy the sketch,
but it does not seem to become its own sketch.

Any help is appreciated.

I tried the isolation, but I don’t understand what
isolation is doing.

When you use the Move/Copy tool to duplicate a sketch, if the duplicate is on the same plane it doesn’t create a new sketch layer.

If you move it to a different plane, in this case up it becomes a new sketch. You can move it back to the original spot by zeroing the offset distance.

Thank you , SO much.

I love this app, and I’ve been practicing, practicing, prcaticing.

I’m getting better, but sometimes I get dumb-stuck.

Many thanks, again. Signing off.

yeah but if I use rotate transverse to the sketch plane I get a new sketch. How to avoid thet?

Shapr3D support only 2D sketches. If you move to 3rd dimension you’ll create another sketch.

However, I don’t want to use a third dimension. I want to mirror an existing sketch and use the rotate tool to rotate it 180deg. It still creates another sketch. What I’m trying to achieve is to create an element and multiply/mirror it within the same sketch

Make a video. Hard to understand what you’re doing wrong from your description.
