I’m experiencing a serious issue with my Shapr3D-to-Nomad Sculpt workflow following recent software updates, and I’m wondering whether anyone else has encountered this.
I use Shapr3D for precision jewelry modeling. Unfortunately, Shapr3D does not always reliably or predictably fuse intersecting geometries into a single printable mesh, which is necessary for successful slicing and 3D printing. As a result, I routinely export my models to Nomad Sculpt for voxel remeshing.
Recently, even extremely simple models exported from Shapr3D have begun causing Nomad Sculpt to crash consistently at approximately 43.33% during remeshing.
The only workaround I’ve found is reducing the voxel remeshing resolution below 500, which results in an unacceptable loss of detail for jewelry manufacturing.
What’s particularly interesting is that older Shapr3D exports continue to remesh normally, suggesting that something may have changed in the export process. However, I’m also aware of recent Nomad Sculpt stability issues, so I can’t rule out a problem on that end.
This has effectively brought my jewelry production workflow to a halt.
Has anyone experienced similar problems with recent Shapr3D exports or Nomad Sculpt updates? I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has identified the cause or found a solution that preserves model detail.
Thanks in advance for any insight!
