The move/rotate tool should always be displayed automatically on screen, even if you zoom in on an object.

The problem: If you zoom in on an object to see a small section of it, you cannot immediately move or rotate it in this view because the move/rotate tool is not displayed in this view. Instead, you first have to zoom out, then move the move/rotate tool to the area you were looking at in detail, then zoom in again and only then can you use the move/rotate tool in the detail view. This is terribly cumbersome and slows down the work process unnecessarily.

The move/rotate gadget can be moved to a different location to perform a rotation around a remote axis, which may be outside the current view.

I think you’re missing the point unfortunately. How can I move the gadget when I don’t see it in a zoomed in view where I can only see a detail of the object that I want to move?

Agree! It’s quite annoying to have to zoom out and find the move tool when nudging things around while zoomed in. It should be able to figure out your frame of reference and show up there.
