Tread pattern around a track

Hello everyone.

I use shapr3d for my own model making and i can’t figure this out.

I sometimes buy models and chance them to my needs but in this case im lost.

How can you create a tread pattern around a shape that is not round?

i made tires before but in this case its different

in this picture you see the tracks in the back i bought but i need to make it a different shape,

I can move the model around the object but then i still have no tread.

How can i make the tread pattern around the track?

it still has to be uniform and the same size from start to finishe.

I been looking to for a bent object function but as far as i can find it is not possible.

Any ideas?

You can use a combination of the Pattern tool, using Linear and Circular, provided the overall tread is made of straight and circular curves (no spline curves).

No problem adding treads via linear. For the curve, I made the initial tread much deeper so that it will stay embedded once the pattern is complete. After that I had to create a curved body to be subtracted from the outer portion of the curved pattern so it will have the correct overall radius or diameter when completed.
