What is the best method to join two hollow tubes together?

Hello, I would like to know

how I can join two hollow tubes together so they will be able to be taken apart and put back together.
What kind of joint can I create and how to do it?
How best can I create either a small screw together joint or another type of snap fit joint.

Thank you for your assistance.

A lap joint is the best method for aligning and joining two tubes. Assuming the tubes are rigid, I would use a bayonet design to lock and unlock the two tubes. Here’s a Q&D approach.

Brilliant :star_struck:. Is was thinking of threading it .

Outstanding work Mike.

Very nice, which command takes the sketch of the “L” shape and projects it to match the inside curve of the tube?

Use the Project tool.

Thank you that’s great advice.
