Work on a flat circle, then make it convex

hi, Im trying to make a big frying pan with handles. I was wondering if there is a way to work with a flat circle at first and then, when I’m done, make the hole design convex, concave?

You can create a cutting body with the shape you want and then do a Boolean subtraction to cut it out of the solid body. An easier approach is to create the shape initially by sketching out half the cross section and then revolving it around the central axis.

Here’s a way. Extrude a circle with draft (20° in my example). Radius the bottom. Then use Shell.
