X-ray view

I am wondering if there is a way to view inside an object other than section view. I am a woodworker and I want to see my joinery inside the wood.

When using the Subtract feature, you briefly get an X-ray view when first selecting and object, when it turns purple. Is there a way to get this view without the subtract tool? Thank you

Hi there. I change opacity in rendering mode to see and check all joineries.

Interesting. Wouldn’t it be nice to just select objects and make them see-through?

Incase you don’t know about this feature. It’s not the cleanest on complex models but it shows you inside objects

On desktop: right click in the workspace → show hidden edges

On iPad:

Thank you, this does help a bit. Hopefully they will come up with something more clear and easy to see

Another thing I find really useful is “Isolate”. Just pick one (or a few parts) and toggle on or off. It can make the hidden lines a lot less cluttered in most instances. I do wish there was a faster way to toggle hidden lines — maybe next to the isolate button.
