I just bought an ipad pro, i want to learn how to design door toppers, light switch corners, i am gonna focus on that purpose, is it possible to design that kind of stuff on shapr3D? i have some screenshot of the things that i want to create, i want to design similar things, they all like 12x12 cm
For sure.
If you have only photos then import one of it into S3D, trace the contours, extrude and print. If you have dxf or svg then it can be even easier.
As an example, quick trace of the image you’ve attached (without details):
thanks for your feedback, i want to start from scratch, i first want to draw and turn it into a 3d model, after that i want to print with my 3d printer, should i start to learn shapr3d or should i look for another app
That’s only your choice.
S3D can be used from these kind of tasks.
Do you have any vector programs like Corel Draw or Illustrator? Inkscape? Draw there and export as DXF. I make (on occasion) custom door nameplates for teachers. Shapr drawing tools are for casual drawing, not so much artistic expression.
Here is an example. I turned a font into vector and modified it to my liking on these. It is just so much easier to draw in vector in a program made for it.
