Maybe Iām missing a workflow that would accomplish similar results with the current toolset, but Iāve found myself wishing for a tool similar to Match Photo in Sketchup. Even if it was only the ability to place a photo, then adjust the camera/origin/axes based on that photo (i.e., set vanishing points to adjust the camera position and FoV).
/edit: Oh, another thing Iāve found myself wishing for is the ability to chamfer/fillet sketch corners. Obviously, you can draw two lines, add a circle, make it tangent, and remove the extra pieces, but being able to simply select a corner point, then drag a handle to chamfer/fillet would be great. Could be similar to how Adobe Illustrator handles it, with drag points appearing when selecting a corner:
Just to better ubderstand your needs, can you explain why you prefer adding your fillets in the sketch instead of filleting the body?
Not so much a preference as a difference in use case. That is, sometimes I want to modify a sketch to use in a loft operation (maybe others, but loft is where Iāve thought āoh, that would be niceā), and filleting the entire edge in the resulting body would provide a different result.
Not a common enough occurrence to warrant much dev time IMO. Just something I found myself wishing for, so I figured Iād mention it, in case somebody else came along and thought it was useful for their needs, too.
Makes sense, thanks.
Hi,
I have brought this up earlierā¦
I would like to have a feature that merges (combines) two or several lines into one.
If he had the opportunity to do that in the video https://youtu.be/vASY2eeMHzY at 22-23 minutes then he wouldnāt have the issue with the fillets at 27,47 minutes

And besides, you gets rid of the visible lines on the body, it is not always desirable in some places,
especially when using the sweep tool
//R
Please any solution to this problem. The number is often not visible.
It would also be good to have an automatic backup to iCloud.
Yes, thatās definitely not great. We will figure out something for that.
Hi,
How about sweep along curve with different cross sections or just with two different shapes on the ends? Like is in Rhinoceros?
Mapping the image on a round surface.
Hi,
First of all great app! I am a computational designer and I am trying to implement iPad Pro to my work-flow and I want Shapr 3D to be one of the main tools that I use.
These features would be great :
Make 2D and exporting 2D vector files : I am trying o create quick architectural diagrams and I want to be able to send 2D vector files to Affinity Designer iPad.
Double tap apple pen to repeat last action or confirm the selection in the current action.
Lasso selection tool to select multiple bodies or sketches. Also a selection filter for lasso selection where we can chose just bodies or sketches.
Custom named views and named positions
Scale function where we can chose two points and specify new distance. Also scale 1D / 2D options.
Record history similar to Rhino 3D would be interesting too.
Thanks,
Yagiz
Hi,
Quite often Iām zoomed in and want to do a translate/move on one end of a long object and it prompts me to zoom out so I can see the move/rotate handles. I move the handles to where in need and zoom back in.
Would be good for the handles to automatically fit to my zoomed in view.
Same sort of thing is the case if Iām zoomed in on a long line that I want to move (without the move/rotate tool) - the move arrows are at the centre of the line, outside my zoomed in view.
Thanks
Hi,
To be able to select an object and have the rest of the model hide or become transparent (with a user definable opaque slider).
Thanks
Hi,
To be able to cut one object with another but retain the cutting object. Currently it is deleted, leaving just the cut object. This could be with a toggle rather like the ācopyā toggle in some operations.
Also replace face to have the ability to replace with more than one face. Eg like when extending a gable wall up to the underside of a roof with more than one pitch ie more than one face.
Thanks again.
Capped curve offset would be nice :
Thanks
Good idea!
Best,
Tommy
Hi,
I tried to project a solid on a plane and realised app dose not support solid projection. I was expecting the result indicated with bold red lines below :
Makes a lot of sense, and actually it would be fairly easy to implement, we just havenāt exposed that funcionality on the UI yet. Thanks for the suggestion.
Please can we snap bodies together that initially are on a compound angle to each other.
