This would be a hardly discoverable gesture. But, we have a prototype which seems to solve all these frustrating navigation problems in the interface. I hope we can release it by the end of the year.
It would be great to have the ability to have textures for models. Things like brushed aluminium or steel or carbon fibre or even wood. As a student that uses 3D model design very often, this would be a stellar feature.

I also just thought that it might be nice to have a custom tool wheel or something along the lines of long pressing the add button or even a high pressure press to bring out a wheel of the options in add.
I also find colors being in tools a bit strange rather than it being in add because color is added, but not too bad.
This is my favourite app.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I would love a ācomponentā feature, where modifications to one instance is reflected across all instances of an objectā¦potentially an addition to the move/copy option?

Iām gonna +1 this. Component and better layer/group tools would be helpful. I use 360 on my computer and shapr on my ipad and grouping/components seems to be lacking (although I havenāt fully tested the newer version to see if grouping got better).

Hi Tammuz, Agreed. Ideally every individual āobjectā should be a component. Whenever it is duplicated/copied it becomes another āinstanceā. As you say then if you make a change to one it changes all. You also need to be able to change an instance into a new component without changing the rest. This helps when you need a new component which is slightly different to the one you have. Further on this can be used for count purposes.

Hi - thanks for the feedback. This is not an issue perticular to either of the apps. Itās related to the file exchange engine between both apps. Exchanging files between Shapr and Fusion/ vice versa, does not keep the set file sorting and layering. On our end we will further look into this towards having it improved and finding a fix.

I didnāt mean to imply I thought it was an issue moving files between the apps, I rarely export out of Shapr. I meant I see some features in Fusion that would be amazing to have on the iPad. You guys are doing great already, but thereās so much more room to grow in the iPad 3D drawing sector because it just hasnāt been possible until relatively recently. Iām excited for your guys development.

So Iāve had a chance to spend more time in Shapr3D and Iād like to throw one more feature request into the mix. Bounding box selection of geometry (drag right for contained object, drag left for objects touching). One advantage I enjoy about direct modeling platforms over parametric is the freedom to manipulate features and geometry but selecting specific geometry in shapr3d can be a bit clumsy at times, especially if there are internal features that are difficult to access.
*I should mention, these feature requests should in no way take away from the incredible achievement of this app!..keep up the good work!

I would love assemblies.The ability for parts to interact before you print or CNC them would go a long way in the development process.

How would this help your workflow?
I would like to use shapr3D to make 3D reference images for illustrations and paintings, a bit different than most people here, but the app works great to position objects exactly the way i want. And see them from the perfect angel for the compositionele. If i could see complicated drop shadows on 3D shapes iT would make the app perfect for me
