Apple pencil USB-C

Hello All,

I recently got the base iPad (A16), and I am looking forward to use Shapr3D for basic 3D modelling. Since this iPad supports the Apple pencil USB-C and the 1st gen Apple pencil, I wanted to ask:

  1. Has anyone used Shapr3D with the apple pencil USB-C ?
  2. Does it work smoothly for sketching and especially for splines ? I’ve read that splines may require pressure sensitivity
  3. Since the USB-C Apple pencil lacks pressure sensitivity, does that affect any features in Shapr3D ?
  4. Finally, which pencil is better - the 1st gen or USB-C?

Thanks in advance

I’ve never used the USB-C Pencil, but I can tell you that splines don’t require pressure sensitivity.

I use the Pencil Pro with the M4 iPad Pro, but I almost never use the pressure sensitivity feature.

Thank you so much! I think I’ll go with the USB-C Pencil to save a few bucks.

Maybe someone with the USB-C version will be able to share more details about how it works. I decided not to compromise and went with the top-tier option.
