Just wanted to get some clarification on a couple of points:
5.4. The Customer:
[…]
(g) be limited to a maximum number of 10 (ten) designs; and
(h) cannot export Shapr3D native format file.
I currently have more like 40 designs in Shapr3D. Am I going to be required to delete all except 10 of them in order to comply with these terms? And I can’t make any native Shapr3D file backups of them first, before deleting?
These two new rules in combination are concerning to me as disallowing native backups means that in order to comply with the 10 designs limit, I would not be able to archive them externally in a way that would be re-importable natively.
Yes, but if I understand the updated TOS correctly, then the Shapr export format will no longer be allowed. STEP does not include all aspects of the project including parametric history.
I “think” that clause is limited to the team workflow. Even so, it doesn’t make sense b/c the product/service description on their site doesn’t match these terms and conditions. The description of the pro version clearly states that unlimited designs and export to shapr format are supported for the “editor” (non-team collaborator).
Hopefully they will clarify this language… and certainly not limit the pro version to 10 designs and no shapr format!
