Disable tips in macOS?

These little “tips” keep showing up in macOS and I can’t figure out how to disable them.

macOS 15.3 - Shapr3D version 5.771.0 (8028)

Currently, there’s no built-in option to disable tips in Shapr3D on macOS. However, we appreciate the suggestion and will share it with our team.

I would like to add an option: Show Meny Button Labels to OFF, even on a huge screen they get in the way blocking an operation.

Upvote for this. It’s just so incredibly frustrating. Why on earth would I want to see the same damn tooltip indefinitely??

+1 for adding a setting to disable tips - they pop up in inconvenient places and once I have seen it I don’t need to see it again every time I use the program.

I’m surprised there isn’t a checkbox in the settings to disable this. Feels bad and gets in the way of work.

I agree it would be much more convenient to disable this in the settings, especially when installing the app not for the first time.

But it’s still not too hard to disable it by quickly watching those videos once.

They keep coming back!

That’s because you didn’t open them. Just watch (open) them once, and they won’t appear again.

Here’s the thing…I shouldn’t be forced to watch a video of every tip. The user should have the option to turn them off entirely w/o having to watch them. Additionally, I have a new computer, and now I have to go through this all again, and sometimes they DO come back even if I “watch” the little video. It’s a highly annoying pain point in the user interface that should be extremely easy for the developers to fix.

That’s why I said:

but I’ve changed 3 Mac minis, 2 iPads, and 1 MacBook over the last 2 years, and disabling these tutorials has never been a problem for me — it only takes a couple of minutes. After I quickly watched them, I never saw them again.

+100 I will not be renewing after this first year because these tips keep appearing in my way. It turns this into an entirely unserious cad program.

i quite like the tips showing, they are kinda convenient for me cause i am learning but i can see how they will eventually get annoying once i learn the tools. there should be a little checkbox in the settings or something to disable tutorials or something

On macOS frequently jumping between several instances of S3D on several machines I made a script for the array: com.shapr3d.shapr.userDefaults.tutorials.tutorialsArray
false->true in the plist. You can also easily edit it manually.
