Exporting to SVG for shaper origin

Ok so an obvious Noob question. I am trying to export parts of a table to use with my Shaper origin. I have drawn out the project it is all 3D and looks great. Now I want to export the parts to an SVG to import to my Shaper Origin so I can make templates to cut out my parts. Shapr3D will not export the parts as drawn. I need to export the “Sketches” excuse my ignorance if I am referring to the process wrong. I need the part prior to being extruded. Then it will work. How do I get back to that ? Hopefully my explanation makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi,
Have you try : File > Export
and choose Sketch or Drawing

Yes that just imports as a single line it doesn’t work that way.

I got this same issue, did you find a solution?

Hi,
What’s your issue exactly ?

I only get single lines when i export my design to shaper origin. I’m sure i export the sketch as a closed design. It always worked for me. Something seems changed and i can’t figure it out

As you can see a closed square

But every time all my designs come out as a single line instead of a closed one. And this way i can’t make a outside pass on my shaper origin

This is my svg export setting

Can you help me with this issue?

Hi
If i choose File > Export to > Export > Sketch format > SVG
Ihave this panel (screenshot)

Hey Mike,

Set “Include Dimensions” ON

Thank you i think that it was as simple as that

But now i have a new problem
I can’t find the problem with this sketch i wy i can’t export it with out the hidden items on.
With hidden items i can export it but the i can’t use it.

Can you attach the .shapr file?

Voor regel.shapr (807.1 KB)

Thanks for the time

I isolated Sketch 05 for this export.
Boor regel export
Does that work?

Thanks, but no. i need to figure this out on way or an other. Because i need it in svg

Hi Mike,

I attached an SVG… looks like you can’t do it that way. Here it is zipped:
Boor regel export.zip (1.1 KB)
