File keeps crashing the app

Hi — I closed down the app while in a design (it was taking forever to do some calculations), and now I can’t access the file as it causes the app to crash. I’m on an iPad.

I’ve sent the crash report; what do I do from here to recover the file?

Please extract the file using iTunes and then send us the zipped folder via support@shapr3d.com
We will look into it and then get back to you as soon as possible.

  1. Plug your iPad to your desktop, open iTunes.
  2. Click on the tablet icon on the top left
  3. Open the Shapr3D app from the list, also in the left.

Is it a ‘workspace’ file I need to send?

I’ve sent the workspace file I think is related to the design I’m trying to access. Please confirm that you have it and that it’s the file you need. Help recovering it would be greatly appreciaed.

Hi Joey, we received the workspace and it still crashes.
A ticket has been created for this, we are further looking into the issue and I will get back to you as soon as we have an update from the development team.

Hi Victor — any possibility of just deleting the last few objects added to the file, which seem to be crashing the app? Would love to access the file as soon as practicable
