I’ve used Shapr3D for many years, but primarily work in metric. However, I need to enter fractional inches, and cannot figure out how to enter them. In the past, there was this cumbersome entry system with fractions, but it worked. Now, I’m having to get out a calculator and calculate decimal inches because I can’t find the fractions.
In this image, I’m trying to enter “3/8”, but there is no forward slash or fractions. I tapped the “in” at the top for inches, expecting that the fractions would appear, but they didn’t. Anybody have a clue how to enter fractions without resorting to decimal inches? Many thanks!
They took out that extra feature earlier this year.
Now you need to utilize the division symbol on your calculator.
÷
So it will look like this after you input 3/8

Well, THAT’S interesting! I haven’t seen a “divide” sign in at least a couple decades! They should append that to have a forward slash, or replace the division sign with a forward slash. I didn’t even think about using that function on the calculator. Thanks so much for your most excellent explanation and screen shots.
Now, if we could only adopt the metric system here in the US…
Many thanks!
Your right this “/” would have been better than that symbol.
Because you use ÷ and get / in the calculator.

Interestingly, on the lower-resolution monitor I’m using for video recording on my MacBook (1080p for screen recording without the quadrupled pixels of the Retina display that make my internal fan turn on), the “divide” symbol just looks like a plus sign.
