Is there a way to create a helix with a pattern?

Hi Shapr Friends!

Is there a way to create a helix with a pattern or sweep with repeating object? I am trying to create a cylinder base with a twist detail of a beaded pattern.

Hold on…nope.

I’ll upload a little video. You can rotate a circle around the vertical axis and create a helix, but it doesn’t work the same with a sphere…it can be done in ZBrush.

Here’s a workaround using Pattern and several Move-Rotate-Copies.
