Lofting between imported sketches

I’m very new to all this.

I’m trying to create a loft between two sketches. I have the sketches (imported, not drawn in shapr3D). When I try to drawn a spline between them, it won’t lock to any points on the sketches (and there are no magenta intersection points to refer to), so the spline just sits on a plane by itself.

I’m confident I’m doing something wrong that can be easily addressed, I just can’t figure out what that is!

Hi and Welcome !
It’s not easy to understand what you want to Loft. The 2 “stars” are both in Top view ?
The guide (spline) must turn .
It will be easier to upload your .shapr file.

I would, but since I’m a brand new member of the community, I’m apparently not allowed to upload a document.

Is there another way for me to share it?

Peut-être me l’envoyer en message privé ?

I would make a copy of the complex top sketch and move it aside with the move tool (not knowing exactly what you want to achieve) I would then use the trim tool and remove all the little extra bits and lines inside the original top sketch so that only the outline exists and then try lofting. However note 2 things. Your guide curve should be connected to a point on the bottom sketch as well as the top sketch. 2, it looks like you are trying to loft with a twist which may not work. You might select the top face and twist/rotate it after the loft.

Maybe I can attach my file here!

Make sure the bottom sketch is a closed shape. You cannot make a 3D object using an open shape.

Si c’est le meilluer methode, oui.

I’ve been able to draw a rail between the two shapes, but when I try to loft the objects the rail only affects one portion of the loft. Do I need to draw rails for every point?

Hi,
Try to add an other guide (symmetric).
if not enough, use 4 guides.
