Having to go through and clear/set flags each time is frustrating. For example, if I export this, Maya won’t open it up:
This seems odd until you click Advanced Options:
And you are right! My version of Maya does not support Vertex Colors. Yet no matter how many times I uncheck it, the next export it is checked.
The assumption should be that if I uncheck it, I want it to remain unchecked, not that I want you to totally forget that I unchecked it.
Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:
I expect that the program remember my settings rather than revert each time to defaults. This is a simple and trivial fix.
What can’t you achieve without this feature?
It wastes my time by exporting OBJ files that are unusable (they literally don’t show up).
Is this a workflow blocker for you? Is this why you can’t use Shapr3D for work? Is this slowing you down?
This is something that should not be repeated every single time. If you have settings that are “advanced” but are not supported by all apps, then take them out of advanced. Do not hide them. This is basic UI/UX design. This is a very puzzling design choice.
