Problem exporting to DXF

I’m suing Shapr3d/macOS Ventura.

I’m trying to export my parts to DXF for laser cutting, but I am having a lot of trouble selecting the specific projection.

I first isolate the body (maybe not necessary):

File ➤ Export…

DXF

Drawing, 1:1

Select the body.

This is where I get stuck.

Firstly, frequently when I switch Title Block to Empty, Shapr3d crashes. I’ve sent a bunch of crash reports, so hopefully this is being looked at.

But I also can’t reliably select the projection.

It shows this:

If I click somewhere on the central part:

I can enable the right projection, which is what I want.

But I can’t get rid of the edge projection.

Pressing Delete does not get rid of it. I can’t find any way to get rid of the edge projection.

Is there some magic key to toggle them?

If I click on anything, it adds it, but then it is there and I can’t remove it.

But then I managed to accidentally delete one of them.

I’m clearly missing something about this process.

I just want to be able to select just a side view so I can export it as a DXF.

Try zooming out when you first apply it, it looks like the scale might be too big and the button you need is disappearing below. Either that or change the scale, and then scale back aftwards.

If you double click a projection that you don’t want, the delete button should appear to the side.

To add to this. It looks like you need to press the tick on the left first to apply the projection.

Both of these observations help I think.

I think it behaves much more consistently if I first tick to apply the selection and then make changes. The behaviour before first applying seems quite confused.

Thanks!
