I am working on a model while I learn to improve using Shapr3D. I would like to make the eyes a separate part on the model while keeping the round surface. I used the project tool on the sketch to match the sphere. I can extrude but want to have it a separate part.
I am sure there is a way to do that I am trying to do, I just haven’t figured it out yet or found out how to yet. Hopefully someone can tell me how to do it.
That is what I was doing for the other parts I was making, but the issue I am having is how to have match the curve from the sphere. Not sure if its possible, but hoping to see if it is.
I think I figured it out. I cloned the sphere, and using the sketch I used the intersect option to create the part. Then I’ll use the subtract to make the parts hole. Not sure if the best way to do it, but seems to work.
I see now flat sketches are not treated the same when extruding from a curved surface. Why? Don’t know.
I would make a slightly large sphere after you extrude the eyes and intersect with your eyes. Then subtract from the eyes with the original sphere. Then move the eyes into the sphere and subtract them again. Convoluted but sure to get the affect I would want.
