.shapr file export doesn't obey isolation

Is there a way that I’m missing that will get Shapr3D to export a single selection of one or more bodies in isolation as a .shapr file?

I’ve noticed that when I place a body into isolation mode I can export just that selection as a STEP file, 3MF, STL etc just fine. However when exporting it as a Shapr3D file for the purposes of importing into other projects because I can’t easily get an object into another project otherwise… it exports the entire contents of the project. Which means I then have to make a new project… delete the excess and re-export it which seems like a cumbersome and misguided set of steps that I feel like I must be missing something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why do you need to import it as Shapr specifically?

Shapr file format is like a master/backup file, even if you could isolate it export and import it isolated you will still get back all the hidden files.

If you don’t need parametric history or sketch drawing you can just Isolate export as Step, IGES, or Parasolid and import it back, you still get editing feature.

X_T is the native format for Shapr3D.

Ahhh ok I’ll shift to doing it that way. I started doing this prior to parametric being a thing and just assumed saving it as a shapr file was the right way to do. I’ll shift to using parasolid files for those types of imports then that’s really helpful.

Thanks everyone.
