SHARE button needs to be configurable to EXPORT

The problem that this feature will solve:

The SHARE button is an eyesore that most people rarely use.

It’s taking up pride of place, where a much more useful feature such as QUICK EXPORT could be located.

Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:

I understand Shapr3D wants to emphasise the collaboration features. That’s easily done if this eyesore is the default, but they lose nothing by allowing us to either switch it off entirely, putting the share function on the ellipsis menu, or better still, we should be able to assign the QUICK EXPORT feature to this button.

Quick export in favourite formats works really well – except it’s absolutely bafflingly 3 taps away, where it could be a single tap.

This really should be the default, but I understand making it a switch option, for the sake of pushing the SHARE feature.

For the money, we should have a UI that prioritises our workflow over the company’s desires to advertise its features.

What can’t you achieve without this feature?

I export files a dozen times a day. I share maybe once in a blue … never.

This is an absolute no-brainer of a workflow issue.

This has been asked about several times, but the most recent I could find was from April 24.

Since this is such an easy thing to do, resistance to this I assume is deliberate. It’s a small thing, please let us have it.

To make matters slightly worse, “Share” on Apple devices is fairly specific meaning (share a file via airdrop, mail, messages, etc). I keep hitting share for that purpose and never to use the sharing collaboration options in Shapr3d.

I am absolutely for the collaboration features even though I don’t use them. However, there’s no reason to conflate collaboration with export or “sharing” in the Apple sense. I too wish export was simplified with fewer clicks.
