True Scale

its a easy path to take to zoom in to much and get lost in too small details

and came across this video for calibrating the monitor to see the actual size of your design in rino3d

for shapr3d whats even nicer is the amazing ipad support and there it should be possible to calculate the true size zoom level in advance

This would be great, I often create details for 3d printing which prove to be much smaller as I thought and then just disappear. +1

If you want to you can do that right now. It’s kinda possible. I started doing this in Blender, Affinity Designer and works if you have the Zoom to Feature on the 3d program.

Math will be different for other monitors but this will work if you have a standard 27in Monitor on the Mac.

Go to Full Screen mode (this works if you set the display at 2560x1440) and make a sketch square 7.7inch and zoom to (the Space button) the sketch. Go to Appearances and save the view, if you are in Perspective change to ORTHO.

I’ll probably try this on the iPad too will report the dimension when I find out.

If you double tap on a 4.7x4.7 in square sketch grid it will now match your ruler. 1in grid will be one inch.

This works on iPad Pro 13 probably will be different on other sizes.

Oh save the view so it automatically zooms in and this will let you draw with Apple Pencil 1:1 on the iPad.
