Do I need to purchase shapr3D enterprise version to use Vision Pro for creation of models from scratch?
Can an sole operator get an enterprise version?
How much is a enterprise subscription for a sole operator?

Shapr3d is available on the Vision Pro App Store right now. You won’t be able to use the collaboration functions like manipulating a model in 3D that they show in the demos, but you will be able to build and visualize models like you do on the iPad.
Hi Cynd3d,
Thanks for your reply, would you say when modeling with the vision pro the functionality and speed of use is the same or a little slower than using shapr3d on the iPad?
I use shapr3d most days between 2-6 hrs on the iPad or windows laptop.
I’m looking to purchase the vision pro hoping it will be the singular platform I use in the future.
Is this a reasonable expectation?
Thanks, Ben.
At this time you are limited to using a trackpad and keyboard with the Vision Pro. Apple is adding mouse support in VisionOS 2.0, which is scheduled for release in September I believe. I’ve never been able to get the hang of using the Magic Trackpad, so I’m waiting for VisionOS 2 to give the Shapr3d app on Vision Pro a good trial. I did fire it up with the trackpad and verified that it works the same as the iPad app, at least for those functions I tested. So I think you should be able to do what you want.
Thankyou. It would be cool if you could post here when this works. I’d likely buy it. I only have the 1st m1 iPad Pro and need to upgrade. If I can 3D model with my hands and eyes only, for $6600 AUD I will buy it.
Just for the health benefits and the extra portability to be able to work anywhere easily.
You will not be able to model with hands and eyes only. Just like the iPad, where you use your finger to change the view but all modeling requires the Apple Pencil, in the Vision Pro you use your hands to change the view but need the Magic Trackpad (or, in future, the mouse) to do the modeling.
Thanks I’m understanding now… I’d like to demo it. Though shapr3D requires an email not ending in gmail.com or me.com ,the only two I use…
Is the track pad virtual? Or better question I guess, can one 3d model with the Vision Pro without any other hardware?
No. It needs to be Apple’s Magic Trackpad. At least right now. I don’t know if Apple will expand support for other devices in future or not.
As far as I know there is no way around the requirement for a hardware based pointing device for creating models in Shapr3D. I think that is true whether you are an Enterprise user or not.
On the other hand, the Vision Pro comes with a ton of accessibility options, most of which I have not explored. I hesitate to rule out the possibility of something useable there, but I think you need an accessibility expert to tell for sure. I’m sure Apple has support docs online for those if you want to look into it.
Thankyou for this information, I will research if apple have plans for integrating a virtual mouse and keyboard to the vision pro. I have briefly used the vision pro at an Apple Store here in Melbourne Aust. The eye tracking felt as accurate and fast as a mouse pointer. This made me think that this may not be far away.
Thanks again
