Check interferences in Section View, create AI-enhanced captures in Visualization, and manage access directly in-app.
• New: Section View now highlights interferences, so you can spot overlapping bodies during design reviews and avoid costly errors before manufacturing.
• New: Now you can use AI to enhance your Visualization captures. The Capture with AI button lets you apply a prompt to generate an enhanced image before saving.
• Improved: Manage project access directly in-app, not just from the web. You can now update permissions while working in Shapr3D, including reviewing and accepting pending access requests.
• Update: Publishing Review Links has moved from the Share dialog to the Export dialog. The Export dialog is now only accessible through the File Menu (Windows/macOS) or More menu (iPadOS), and is no longer available in the Share dialog.
Hi,
After testing, I can tell you that it is a great novelty and very useful in my work.
It’s simple and fast without leaving the application.
2 or 3 things are missing (save prompt, Landscape OR Portrait format, HD at least 2048, import an image) but I’m sure the Shapr3d team will fix it.
Bravo !
Wow, very impressive update. I use Shapr3D mainly to make quick visualizations for our custom made lights. Now I can show the items in a life like surrounding without much hassle. This is very helpful for my work. Real nice surprise.
Truly impressive the way you integrated GenAI to enhance the visualisation of a design. It’s remarkable how easily I was able to create an AI image that closely follows my design without any hallucinations. For me, a GenAI tool for visualisation is only as good as how much it allows the designer to be in the driver’s seat. The only feature that I still miss in the visualisation of Shapr3D is the possibility to add decals and texture maps to objects. In products such as packaging this is absolutely critical.
But in the end… Kudos to the Shapr3D team for the amazing work
After playing around with the AI Tool, I ran into the trouble of getting my items displayed in the right dimension. It seems that the AI is assuming an item height of similar products. If my item is bigger than the usual type it gets displayed too small or too big.
It would be nice to have more specific control for that feature. But still a really nice feature.
The current daily limit for subscribers is set at 50 credits, and there is no in-app option to purchase additional ones. Based on user feedback and engagement, we will refine these limits and introduce a way for subscribers to access more credits when needed.
It’s too early to give a definitive answer. The feedback has been very encouraging, and we want to push ourselves to deliver even more value. We aim to stay flexible, continue iterating, and find the setup that provides the greatest value to our customers, while also ensuring the feature remains financially sustainable.
Does the AI capture in Visualization have project size limitation because when I tried to create a very large AI Capture of a assembly it basically changed the assembly to not show the parts complete and even have missing parts. If this is the case I could see that this could be a big issue especially if used for a presentations. Let me know what you think.
Hello, you said that you can use it for free 50 times a day, and one picture is equal to one point, but after I used it three times, it said I need to come back tomorrow. I have the educational version. Is this the reason? I hope you can reply.
OMG! What a great feature! But,it still falls just short. If it could support free texture mapping, that would be ideal. This means I could create perfectly rendered scenes directly within the software (applying surface textures based on the client’s design files) without needing additional tools.
Alternatively, could our software support importing renderings created in other software, then generating AI backgrounds from them? Of course, this is merely a stopgap measure; the ideal approach would still be to accomplish everything within a single software application (how greedy of me).
