Adaptive UI / Replace Face

When I select two planar faces, one of the most common functions I’d like to perform is ‘Replace Face’, however I find that this option is buried within the ‘more’ menu rather than presented as a predicted option within the main menu of the adaptive UI. I can cope with this when it’s just once or twice, however when performing lots of ‘replace face’ operations the extra taps soon become tedious.

For me, the priority of operations presented in the main menu doesn’t seem right, if I select two faces like in the simple example below, I’m much more likely to want to use ‘replace face’ over some of the other options presented in the main menu, such as ‘mirror’, or even ‘offset’ or ‘extrude’ as these are selected by default anyway.

Any thoughts or feedback on this would be appreciated.

This is how it works on the iPad Pro. Is this what you’d like to have?
BTW, Replace Face is in the top 3 of my favorite tools.

Thanks Mike,

Are you using a 12.9” iPad?

I’m use an 11” iPad Pro, so maybe it’s just limiting the amount of tools that are available in the menu.

Yup, iPad Pro 12.9", M1 processor.

I think that explains it. It’s time for an upgrade, but I’m waiting for the M3!

Still though, I think there’s an argument to bump replace face up the menu list so that it appears on the first menu for us that use a smaller screen. As you say, and I agree, it’s one of the top used tools!

Me too on the M3 :sunglasses:
Agree about bumping RF up the menu list.
My other two favorites are Split Body and Isolate Mode.
