It’s fantastic. After just five minutes of testing, I find Shapr3D Visualization Beta to be much better than the Cadmio app - excluding background enviroment, but it’s still just a beta. I am impressed by the application of the different materials. It is very intuitive. Thanks for the opportunity to test the new functionality.
Good point!
Best,
Tommy

I really love the fact that it’s incredibly easy to get great result when you are not an expert (I’m an electronic engineer, not a designer).
As requested by many other testers, it would be great to have control over the material direction, especially for wood material (any strongly oriented material in fact), and to have that direction sticked to the object : if I rotate the object, the material orientation rotates also.
Here is a real live exemple : the real object has wood oriented vertically. It is fortunate that the wood selected has the right orientation. But if you look at the last snapshot, it is no longer the case : wood orientation is now diagonal. But I have no choice to show correctly the engraved text on the bottom but to place the object flat on the table and rotated correctly in order for the bottom plate to catch the light.
Anyhow, material is a great new function
to play with and soooo simple to use.

(I found a bug in the text tool on macos version while doing this model: it is impossible to enter more than a single digit in the text size box, because once you hit a key, focus goes out of the size box. I needed 4.5mm text size at some point. So, the work around I used was to type the size in the text area, and cut/paste it in the size box. It works but it’s not convenient.)
for the night. Liquid and glass, not so easy. Any chance to get liquid material?
